How payouts work

Two stages.
One mission: keep the brand spending.

We pay you on signal, not vibes. Your career has two stages — your first 5 clips, then everything after. Below is exactly how it works.

Stage 1 · Rookie

Clips 1–5: % only

Your first 5 accepted clips earn $0 base. You earn the milestone bonus on Facebook ad spend — up to $3,000 per clip. This is the "prove you can ship something that performs" stage.

We hold base pay until we know you can hit. Once you do, you unlock graded base on every clip after for life.

Non-stacking — you’re paid at the highest tier each clip hits. Bonuses accrue forever — no time limit, no expiry.

Stage 2 · Graded

Clip 6+: $15 base

Each clip from your 6th onward gets a flat $15 base on approval — fixed, no grade scaling. Your career grade is still tracked as a quality signal (the average of your last 20 graded clips), but base pay is the same on every approved clip. Milestone bonuses on top, exactly the same as Stage 1.

Base pay is a flat $15 per approved clip, regardless of grade. Your career grade is a quality signal we track for ranking and brand visibility — it does not change what you earn on approval.

How clips are graded

Three signals. One score.

Every clip is graded once it’s mature — that’s either 7 days live on Facebook OR $500+ spent behind it, whichever comes first.

FB’s CBO scales budget toward what works. Brand kept spending is the strongest signal — heaviest weight.

Common questions
What if my grade goes down?

Base pay doesn’t change — every approved clip pays a flat $15. Your career grade is a quality signal, not a pay multiplier. If a single bad clip drags your average, ship a winner to bring it back up; no past pay is affected either way.

What if a clip’s mature grade is HIGHER than its initial grade?

Your career grade improves, which helps your ranking and visibility to brands. Base pay stays at $15 regardless — the upside on a clip that scales lives in the milestone spend bonuses, up to $3,000 per clip.

When are payouts sent?

Every Monday at 08:00 UTC. We sweep all unpaid base + bonus from FB-active clips approved by Sunday 23:59 UTC and wire it via Wise (or Stripe for US editors). One transfer per editor per week.

How often is my career grade recalculated?

Every time a clip’s grade changes. The fb-spend cron runs every 3 hours, syncs spend/CTR/CPM from Facebook, and re-grades any mature clip whose numbers have moved. Your career grade is the live average of your last 20 graded clips — visible on your dashboard.

Can I see why I got the grade I got?

Yes. Each clip shows its grade letter and the underlying score (0–100). Click into any clip to see its spend, CTR, and CPM broken out — the same numbers Facebook shows the brand.
